Who is involved in

bullying?

· Bully or bullies

 

· Target - the person being bullied

 

· Bystander or Bystanders - those who see bullying and do nothing.

Did you know?

 

· 8 out of 10 children and young people say watching bullying makes them feel uncomfortable.

· Most bullying takes place in school.

 

Children who watch the bullying make the bully feel clever, strong and    excited.

Why do some people become bystanders?

· They are afraid

 

· They will think it will happen to them

 

· They think it’s just a bit of fun

 

· They think ignoring it will make it stop.

 

· They think the target          deserves it

If you see bullying

· Don’t walk away

 

· Show the bully you think it’s wrong

 

· Tell the bully to stop if it is safe

 

· Get help if you don’t feel safe
