Social Media / Photos - Polite Request and Required Actions

Please may we kindly request that no offensive remarks be made on any social networking sites regarding Rowley Hall Primary School. If you have any cause for concern regarding our School, please contact us in the first instance at headteacher@rowleyhall.sandwell.sch.uk or telephone the School Office on 0121 559 1400. 

 

To post such items in the public domain constitutes an offence under The Malicious Communications Act 1988 Sec. 2A (a) & (b).  A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale or to both A level fine is currently up to £5000.  This may also amount to an offence under The Harassment Act 1997 which carries the same penalty. Any social media posts deemed inappropriate against the School will be reported to the Police accordingly. 

 

Photos of pupils who attend Rowley Hall Primary School are only shared with the express consent from Parents/Carers. In this instance, Parents are asked not to take photos during performances or events/activities when other children are present. Photos must only be taken of your child(ren) and we do not allow parents/carers to video record at any time.
